They described him as the most peace-loving and benevolent leader.

“He brought so many people out of penury and change their status. I can’t believe this, the chairman is alive, it can’t be true,” one of his aides said

Meanwhile, the National President of the NURTW, Alhaji Yasin, and other stakeholders have announced the appointment of the Vice Chairman of the union in Oyo State, Alhaji Abideen Olajide, populrlly called Ejiogbe, as the Acting Chairman of the union.

This was contained in a statement issued today by the National President.

According to the statement, Alhaji Olajide will be acting in place of the current Chairman who is indisposed.

Recall that Fele was rumoured dead late November 2017. The death rumour of the NURTW boss shook the transporters’ camp as people made calls to ascertain the true situation.

Nigerian Tribune then reported Alhaji Oyerinde as expressing surprise at the “ever-growing rumour in the last few days. Glory be to God I am alive and kicking.”
