POPULAR celebrity makeup artist and Creative Director of Ladong MakeOver, Ladi Munis, better known as Ladong, won the Makeup Artiste of the Year at the Nigeria Pageant Awards, in Lagos at the weekend.
The event, which was held at the Astoria Event Centre in Lekki Lagos, was aimed at celebrating individuals who are making key contributions to the development of entertainment and beauty pageantry industries in Nigeria.
Commenting on the award, the Lagos leading makeup artist, disclosed that he has been in the makeup industry for well over 15 years, and “I have been able to dictate the trend in the industry in Nigeria because of my penchant for challenging myself by always seeking to use the work of global trendsetters as my benchmark.
“Over the years my annual event, The Nigeria MakeOver Show, through the support of key sponsors, has been a rallying point for the makeup industry in Nigeria and West Africa.”
The pageant awards which is in its third edition has come to be a reference point for the entertainment and pageant industry in Nigeria by celebrating individuals who are making a mark in the advancement of entertainment and pageantry businesses in Nigeria.
The organising company, Goldern Pageant Awards, noted that the award was to encourage younger talents to pursue their dreams, thereby making a positive difference in their world.
