IGBARAODO Development Council, a socio-cultural organisation in Igbaraodo, Ekiti State has commended Dr Kayode Fayemi for his prompt intervention in the health issue of one of them, Ojo Arowosafe, popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro.
Mr Arowosafe, a thespian is being medically challenged by tuberculosis and prostate related issue.
It would be recalled that Dr Kayode Fayemi sent a delegation led by Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre, Director-General, Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture to locate Fadeyi Oloro, ascertain his present status and give him cash for medications and bills.
Hon Ayo Adekoya-Benson, Secretary Igbaraodo Development Council IDC who visited Amb Wale Ojo Lanre in his office at government secretariat Ado Ekiti said the community appreciated the governor for the kind gesture
He said the community was aware of his plight and had sent some money to him
Bension said that the community would also discuss and see how they can assist him to be back on his feet and support him to stabilize economically.
Ojo Lanre in his response commended the leadership of the IDC for the step taken in reaching out to him and appreciating the government for sending a delegation to him.
He, however, a assured the IDC of positive collaboration with the intention of restoring Fayode Oloro back on his feet, making him relate and connect with his people at home.
“Our icons in the cultural, arts, crafts and other sectors are our assets and models we don’t have to wait till they die before we do what we feel it’s important to keep them alive.”
