Tragedy: Two Dead, Many Injured In Ibadan Tanker Accident

Commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada, have stabbed a motorist, Tosin Abikoye, to death for allegedly knocking down one of their colleagues in the Lugbe area of Abuja on Thursday night.

Abikoye, 33, was said to have been stabbed on Thursday night in the head and other parts of his body by the rampaging motorcyclists who chased him into a hotel, where he took refuge after the accident occurred.

A friend to the deceased, Gbenga Ajibulu, told our correspondent on Friday, that Abikoye ran into a hotel in the new site area of Lugbe after knocking down the okada rider, but the mob allegedly destroyed the gate to the hotel, forcing the manager to order the deceased out of the premises.

Ajibulu said, “Around 8:30 on Thursday night, Abikoye was coming back from his office when he knocked down a motorcyclist but out of fear of being mobbed, he ran into a hotel. The okada riders went after him and destroyed the gate
