A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon Akinwale Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his genuine passion for youths development in the state.
Akinwole, in a statement personally signed by him, said how the governor handles the #ENDSARS protesters and the hoodlums that hijacked the protest speaks volumes of his maturity and love for the youth and the state at large.
Akinwole said the decision to set aside packages totaling the sum of N1 billion to cover for compensation for victims of police brutality and injustice and a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is laudable and worthy of emulation.
According to him, youths in the state are getting the right attention from the governor who is not only attending to them physically but initiating and implementing policies that will enhance the productivity and development of the state.
“The Agric Investment programme, MME, and other programs that are being implemented for the development of the youths are no doubt yielding positive results.”
While urging the youths to eschew violence and compliments the effort of the state governor in taking Oyo State to a greater height, Wolekanle said “We are all stakeholders in this system, we should all support with this administration, irrespective of our religious or political affiliation, Oyo state belongs to all of us and we must join hands to make it great.”
The Ogbomoso-born politician, however, reiterated his continuous loyalty and support to Governor Makinde and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
