TRAGEDY! How Popular Nollywood Actress, Orisabunmi And Her Siblings Died Within Four Days

Barely 48 hours after the demise of the popular Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi at the age of 60, two of her siblings have died.

Recall that the death of the popular actress came four months after her ex-husband, Jimoh Aliu, aka Aworo passed on. They separated two decades ago.

The Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) confirmed the death.

Orisabunmi and her siblings
Late popular actress, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi (middle) with her two other siblings who died a few days after her death.

The brother of the popular actress, who was until his death, the Technical Director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club of Ilorin, Coach Steve Onishola, died in less than 24 hours after the death of her younger sister.

The State Chairman of the association, Dr Joseph Adeyemo, confirmed the death in Ilorin on Thursday.

The late basketball coach was said to have passed on at 72 on Thursday in Illorin, following a brief illness.

And a few hours after the death of Coach Onishola, Mrs Janet Ademola, a younger sister to the late veteran Actress, Orisabunmi, also died.

A family member told Reporters At Large that Mrs Ademola died of shock from the demise of her brother and sister within 24 hours.

Three members of the family of four died in one week and none of them has been buried.

News of the demise of Ademola, the last child of the family, was broken on Saturday by Gbenga Onisola, her nephew.

Meanwhile, contrary to the information that is being circulated online that she died of COVID-19 complications, a family member said she died of shock.

“Its true she died today but not of COVID-19 as being speculated, she died if shock and high blood pressure caused by her brother and sister’s death said Sijuwola Adelubi.

Adelubi who is an Inlaw to the late onishola said, Aunty buky’s death is very painful, I was shocked and I am still in pain, my prayer is that God will give us all the fortitude to bear the loss.
