BREAKING: Oyo Police Reveal Those Behind Burning Of Sunday Igboho’s House

Oyo State Police Command has confirmed that a house belonging to Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has been razed by unknown hoodlums.

In a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olugbenga Fadey on Tuesday, January 26, it was said that the matter was reported at Sanyo police station at about 6:20 a.m.

The report had it that the unidentified hoodlums came to Igboho’s house at Soka area of Ibadan in a Toyota Hiace (Hummer) bus and a Micra car, firing sporadically, before setting the house ablaze.

The mini sitting room was said to have been burnt, while the cost of other parts of the building also destroyed by fire has yet to be estimated.

“Immediately, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Sanyo Division, CSP Tajudeen Olawuwo, got wind of the incident, he contacted the Oyo State Fire Service and also went to the scene for an on-the-spot assessment,” the PPRO stated.

He disclosed further that the fire was eventually put out, while investigation had commenced on the incident.

Fadeyi added that police detectives are already on the trail of the hoodlums.
