President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of DIG Usman Alkali Baba as the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) with immediate effect.
The minister of police affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dangyadi, who announced this on Tuesday, April 6, while briefing journalists in Abuja said that the appointment was with immediate effect.
His appointment is subject to the approval of the Council of State meeting expected to be convened soon.
