No sir. Alhaji Azeez Arisekola Alao came first in a nationwide entry examination to Christ School, Ado Ekiti. He had a score that terrified the white principal who invited him to appear before him in Ado.
Alhaji Arisekola laboured hard before he could gather transport fare to Ado Ewi.
The white principal was shocked on seeing a gaunt-looking speck-like creature with tribal marks.
Are you Alao Azeez? The boy responded with Ibadan laced voice ‘my name is Asisi Alao Arishekola.’
‘Are you a relation of any of our staff?” (Thinking maybe the paper was leaked to him as he performed beyond expectation).
“No Sir. I lived in Ibadan. This is my first time in Ado Ekiti.”
The white man was shocked, he had a handshake with the young boy, and offered him a token for his transport fare to Ibadan.
Rest in Peace the late Aare Musulumi of Yoruba
