Popular Society Lady, Laide Lanre-Badmus Bags AWCS Special Recognition Award

Just like a golden fish that has no hiding place, popular society lady Ms Laide Lanre-Badmus has been recognised by the Oyo State chapter of Asiwaju Women Co-operative Society (AWCS), a frontline pro-Tinubu women group. Which core objective is to make sure women are empowered to the point of self-reliance, financially and politically.

The special recognition tagged Philanthropy & Humanitarian Personality Award, was presented to Laide Lanre-Badmus at the inauguration of executives and launching of the Food Bank of the Group in Ibadan on Monday 14th February 2022.

Lanre-Badmus, according to AWCS, is being recognized for her Immense contributions toward youth and women development, as well as her giant strides in politics.

Other prominent personalities who were also awarded at the epoch event include the former First Lady of Oyo State, Dr. (Mrs) Florence Abiola Ajimobi; Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, the National Grand Matron of AWCS, who was ably represented at the event; Chief (Mrs) Mabel Williams, Oyo APC Women Leader; Chief (Mrs) Esther Adesanya; Hon. Atinuke Osikoya; Alhaja Amdalat Omolola Alubankudi; Pastor Mrs Patience Alli and Alhaji Semiu Alebiosu.

Top celebrities were also present at the event including Mrs Tolulope Gbadamosi, who represented Dr (Mrs) Ajimobi; Mrs Hassan Fatimo; Mrs Funke Olanrewaju and lots of other coordinators from across the state.

In her acceptance speech, Laide Lanre-Badmus restated her commitment to capacity building among women and the youths. Noting that the recognition was nothing but a challenge for her to do more for her immediate environment, the state and Nigeria as a whole.

The award, no doubt, is a well-deserved one for Laide Lanre-Badmus. Having paid her dues in business, her private life and politics.

Laide, a graduate of Politics and International Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, is a founder and Principal Partner at Alice Unique Multiventures Ltd and Laide Lanre Badmus (LLB) Nig. Ltd. She is into custom-made interior designs and decoration, as well as general contracts and supplies. Laide Lanre-Badmus also holds a Diploma in Law, LLB from Leads City University. She is a Lifestyle Consultant, Public Speaker, Politician and a Philanthropist.

She is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management; Fellow, Women Leadership Network; a Follow, Institute of Personality Development & Customer Relationship Management and a Member of the Nigeria Women Convener’s Movement (NWC).

Laide Lanre-Badmus’ significant inputs in politics can’t also be overlooked. She had previously served in Ondo State as a member of Rotimi Akeredolu Governorship Campaign Team in 2016; Adebayo Adelabu Campaign Team in Oyo State in 2019. She was a Member, of the Presidential Support Campaign (PSC) and the Oyo State Coordinator for the Buhari/Osinbajo Presidential Campaign in 2019. She is also a member of the North/South APC Consultative Forum.
