Iyalaje Oodua, Chief (Mrs) Toyin Kolade has revealed the rationale behind her continued offering of scholarships to indigent students.

She made the revelation in a brief chat with REPORTERS AT LARGE after she was awarded by the Department of Performing Arts and Film Studies of the Lead City University at the third edition of her dinner theatre, at Adeline Hall of the institution.

Chief Toyin Kolade disclosed that her dogged resolution to continue to give scholarships to indigent students was borne out of the need to salvage the lives of brilliant and serious students whose success and fulfillment of destiny could be hampered by the financial weakness of their parents.

“Some children are destined for greatness but they are from financially poor families; this could hamper their greatness and fulfillment of destiny. I cannot be alive and be this blessed by God yet afford to see this happen,” Iyalaje Oodua revealed.

Earlier while reacting to the award given to her, Iyalaje Oodua offered scholarships to best students of all the department in the Lead City University.
