The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Oyo Chapter, under the political movement of Hon. Chukwudi Ezeala, who is vying to represent the good people of the Ibadan South West/North West Federal constituency, has sent a congratulatory message to Muslims across the country on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, calling for religious tolerance.

Ezeala revealed this during a courtesy visit to the Oke-Bola area of Ibadan South West of Oyo State, in honour of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration with members of the community in a bid to promote religious tolerance.

“Eid-el-Kabir remains an Islamic festival of love for Allah, especially in respect to showing restraint in the face of persecution, suffering and chastisement. Islam, as preached in the purest form, is to spread the gospel of unity, love and peace.”

“The killing of a ram in place of a human being based on the instructions of Allah reflects the simple truth that Islam respects and gives ultimate value to human lives, as against those involved in matters relating to religion.

“Nigeria is blessed with several human resources, and my governance by the grace of Allah embraces a series of inclusive systems without preference for religion because we should appreciate humanity without bias. This festival has ignited our consciousness about valuing lives against all odds,” he concluded.
