Founded in 2017 by Changpeng Zhao, Binance is currently under global scrutiny. The US Department of Justice and IRS are investigating it for alleged money laundering, among other things.

The number of countries that restrict or ban cryptocurrency companies has continued to increase. Nigeria recently joined the list.
