The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) officially unveiled Engr. Popoola Joshua and Alhaja Atinuke Adesope as its governorship and deputy governorship candidates, respectively, in Oyo State on Thursday.

They said the party is ready to wrest power from Seyi Makinde’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration in the state.

Speaking at the event, held at Liberty Stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, the NNPP gubernatorial candidate stated that people in the state are tired of the PDP, adding that the party would rescue them from their current predicament of oppression.

Popoola promised security of lives and property, employment for the youths, a stable economy and dividends of democracy if voted as the governor of the state.

He, however, urged people of the state not to be deceived by money-bag politicians, saying they should vote according to their conscience.
