BREAKING: Prof. Agbaje, UI Ex-Deputy VC, Regains Freedom

A former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the University of Ibadan, Prof Adigun Agbaje, who was kidnapped along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, has been released.

According to Prof. Remi Aiyede, Head of Department, Political Science, University of Ibadan, Prof. Agbaje was released on Sunday evening and is undergoing a medical checkup.

According to Skyray News, Aiyede said, “Prof Agbaje was just released about a few hours ago. He is okay and undergoing a medical checkup”

Recall that Agbaje, who is on sabbatical at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, was on his way to Ibadan at about 7pm on Friday when he was abducted.

REPORTERS AT LARGE earlier reported that Prof. Agbaje, a lecturer in the department of Political Science, UI, was among the people kidnapped in the Dominion University area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
