All roads that led to Isara Remo in Ogun State were on Friday, 24th of March, 2023. jam-packed when the former Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Apagun Adebiyi Adeleye, buried his Mother In-law, Madam Alice Olumuyiwa Awobona, in grand style.
The funeral service was held at the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel, Isara Remo, Ogun State, and followed by thanksgiving.
The corpse was then laid to rest at the deceased’s residence, Ode Remo Road, Isara Remo, Ogun State, where dust to dust was performed by the Pastor in charge of the Living Faith Church.
The children of the deceased who spoke to REPORTERS AT LARGE said their mother would be greatly missed with encomiums on her good deeds
Thereafter, all present then left to the Afotamodi Hall, the popular event centre in the town for the reception which was filled to the brim with heavy and mighty political icons that include, Secretary to the State Government, Ogun State, Tokunbo Talabi, State Commissioners, Honourable Members, Local Government Chairmen, Special Advisers, the cream de la creme in the society and host of others to honour Apagun Adeniyi Adeleye and the Awobona’s family.
Dignitaries described Mama as a gentle and easygoing woman who loved her children and lived a good life. They similarly showered encomiums on the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and former Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Abiodun, Apagun (Sir) Adebiyi Adeleye, for the befitting burial given to his mother-in-law.
Also, dignitaries present at the occasion hailed the Awards winning and renowned caterer, Mrs Eunice Olaseeke Adeoye, Ripples boss, for the good food served, excellent service and good presentation of her staff to guests at the ceremony.
Ambassador Oluomo Ade Omo Ade anchored the event while the popular late Apala singer’s son, Haruna Ishola, Wasiu Haruna Ishola supplied good music.
