Two people lost their lives to the fire outbreak at the residence of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala.
REPORTERS AT LARGE reliably gathered that the fire outbreak, which occurred at around 8am on Monday, was caused by a power surge.
An eyewitness, who chose to remain anonymous, said the fire incident resulted in the unfortunate demise of two individuals, adding that one person sustained injuries and has been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The Sector Commandant of the State Fire Service, Ogbomoso Command, Mr Oluwaseyi Awogbile, confirmed the incident, stating that the fire accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023.
Mr. Awogbile said that investigations were underway to ascertain the cause of the tragic incident. The service is working diligently to uncover the factors that may have contributed to the outbreak.
