Seun Kuti, one of the sons of the late legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has revealed why the video of his song with Damian Marley is on hold.
The Afrobeat singer made this known while speaking of his intentions for the official video of the duet entitled, Dey.
Kuti, a guest on a radio show, explained that the video was being delayed due to his and Damian’s busy schedule, one of the sons of legendary Bob Marley.
He said he would wait until he and Damian had the time to be on video set together.
“I’ve told my management that if we can’t sync our time for a video shoot then we will pick a video for another song because I don’t want to do the video if we are not there together,” he said.
He noted that there had been many suggestions regarding the video shoot, such as animation due to both artists’ busy schedules, but he resisted, saying he didn’t mind shooting the video at a later date.
“They had other ideas like an animation video, but I refused.”
