The Ajalaye of Ipetu-Ijesa, Oba Samson Adeleke Agunbiade Oke Agunbiade III, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adesuyi Hasstrup, on his ascension to the revered throne of the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland.
In a press release, Oba Agunbiade described Oba Hasstrup’s selection as God’s “divine choice and the unequivocal approval of the custodians of Ijeshaland.”
He praised the process that led to Oba Hasstrup’s emergence, calling it “apt” and “a testament to divine guidance and wisdom.”
Oba Agunbiade commended Oba Hasstrup’s competence, royal pedigree, and extensive network, saying he is “an Oba in every perspective—by birth, royal blood, extensive network, and immeasurable net worth.”
He also praised Oba Hasstrup’s character, diligence, and integrity, saying he has “distinguished himself through diligence as a professional pharmacist, responsibility during his tenure as the Deputy Governor of Osun State, and truthfulness in business.”
The Ajalaye also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for ratifying Oba Hasstrup’s selection, recognising the governor’s role in fostering unity and ensuring the best leadership for Ijeshaland.
Oba Agunbiade offered heartfelt prayers for the new Owa Obokun, seeking divine guidance and wisdom to steer Ijeshaland toward unprecedented growth, peace, and prosperity under his reign.
