The Africa Tourism Innovation Hub has officially launched its groundbreaking incubation and acceleration programme for winners and runners-up of the Africa Tourism Innovation Challenge.
In partnership with the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre at Cape Peninsula University of Cape Town, South Africa, this initiative aims to nurture talent and innovation in the tourism sector.
The programme’s first phase, which took place in March, featured masterclasses and sessions led by Prof. Michael Twum-Darko and Prof. Keolebogile Motaung. Participants gained valuable insights and practical knowledge on entrepreneurship, covering topics such as vision and strategy, value proposition, business model development, and critical and design thinking strategies.

Rosalia Haifiku, a 2024 Namibian finalist, described the programme as an “empowering platform” that provided solutions and resources. The next phase of the programme is scheduled for May 2025.
