The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr Johnson Adenola has said the memory of the late Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Akinade Adejobi, would motivate officers and men of the command to strive for excellence and integrity.

The late Adejobi, an officer of the command, died on April 5 after a brief illness.

Adenola stated this during a Service of Songs organised by the command in honour of the deceased at the Command’s Headquarters، Eleyele, Ibadan on Thursday.

He described the late Adejobi as a devoted and gallant officer, who truly served the command, the Nigeria Police force and the country in general.

Adenola said that the deceased was a dedicated, hardworking and committed officer who was still working even while on sick bed to ensure crime reduction in the state.
