A former Special Assistant to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari on media, Prince Williams Adeleye, has commended the appointment of Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership acumen and political sagacity.
In a statement on Tuesday, Adeleye said Wolekanle’s appointment is a testament to his grassroots influence, capacity for effective leadership, and commitment to public service.
“His political sagacity and leadership qualities earned him this exalted position. I am optimistic that this is only the beginning, and he will rise to even higher positions, including at the federal level,” Adeleye said.
While thanking Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for considering Wolekanle worthy of the appointment, Adeleye noted that the choice reflects the governor’s commitment to rewarding competence and loyalty.
He described Wolekanle as a unifier whose political journey has been marked by consistency, humility, and a passion for youth empowerment and community development.
Prince Williams Adeleye also urged the appointee to remain focused, urging him not to be distracted by detractors but to continue building bridges across political and social divides.
He expressed confidence that Wolekanle’s new role would further position him as a key player in Oyo State politics and a potential figure in national leadership in the near future.
