Popular Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta is mourning following the death of his son. The actor announced the loss on his Instagram page on Saturday.

Posting a picture of the late boy, he captioned, “Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun

“Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things Rest on Dear Son. Champ💔💔💔💔”

The post, however, has continued to generate reactions from fans and colleagues of the actor, who have taken to the comments section to commiserate with him over the development.

Peju Ogunmola Loses Only Son

The news comes just days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola lost her only child, Ayomikun, an incident that also left the entertainment industry in grief.

REPORTERS AT LARGE reports that the heartbreaking incident occurred on Monday while the 56-year-old actress was at a movie location.

Colleagues on set reportedly informed her that one of the actors had been rushed to the hospital. However, on getting there, Ogunmola was devastated to discover that it was her own son who had passed away.

A statement signed by the family’s spokesperson, Yemi Amodu, on Friday, confirmed that he passed away after a brief illness in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, and has since been buried.
