The high cost of living, and insecurity have continued to push many Nigerians out of the country in search for a better life, known as ‘Japa’.

Among the countries that offer visas for Nigerians to ‘japa’ are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, New Zealand and others, because of exciting life opportunities.

However, there are some beautiful countries in Europe and North America which have good work visas for Nigerians and other foreigners.

This article shares six easiest countries where Nigerians can get work visas.

1. Estonia

Estonia is a country in Northern Europe, which borders the Baltic Sea and Gulf of Finland. Estonia is known for its high rate of accepted work visa applications, making it one of the easiest countries for Nigerians to obtain a work visa. Although, with more than 1,500 islands, Estonia receives a relatively small number of requests compared to other destinations.

2. Lithuania

Lithuania is located in northeastern Europe. It is one of the most attractive countries for immigrant workers. However, in order to migrate to Lithuania for work, you must first obtain a job offer from an employer in the country.

3. Iceland

Iceland is known for its healthy work-life balance for citizens and immigrants with an average flexible 40-hour workweek. Iceland is located between Europe and North America. The Icelandic work visa for Nigerians offers opportunities in the tourism industry, teaching English, construction work, nursing jobs, and countless other options.

4. Latvia

Latvia is a country on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia. Its landscape is marked by wide beaches as well as dense, sprawling forests. It offers job opportunities to Nigerians and foreigners. Foreign nationals who want to work in Latvia can do so by obtaining a residence permit, type D visa. This, however, does not apply to foreign nationals who have a permanent residence permit as shareholders in Latvian companies among other related categories.

5. Slovakia

Slovakia is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, Austria to the west, and the Czech Republic to the northwest. Slovakia is one of the most attractive countries for job seekers around the world. To work in Slovakia requires obtaining a single permit to reside and work. Jobs such as mechanical design engineers, cyber security analysts, production supervisors, customer service representatives and others are available.

6. Luxembourg

Luxembourg is a small European country, but relatively easy to get a work visa whether for temporary or permanent opportunities. Luxembourg has experienced the highest minimum wage and the lowest unemployment rate in Europe for the past 40 years.
