The Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB), Prof. Jonathan J. Atungwu, has encouraged the 57 newly promoted staff of the institution to be more professional than ever, dedicated to service and productivity, in achieving the College’s vision of excellence in agricultural education and training.

The Provost, while congratulating the promoted staff on behalf of the College management, commended the promoted staff for their commitment and honourable service. He then urged them to continue to uphold the standards of excellence with strong moral principles, for which the College is known.

The College announced the promotion of 57 staff following the approval of the 2025 promotion exercise by the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).

The approval, contained in a letter dated October 24, 2025, and signed by the Acting Director of Administration, Mrs. Khalimat Balogun, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, conveyed the Council’s consent for the implementation of the promotion results earlier forwarded by the College.

Leading the list of promoted staff is Engr. Dr. Titus Ilori, who rose from the rank of a Principal Lecturer to a Chief Lecturer, the pinnacle of the academic cadre in Colleges of Agriculture, an equivalent of a Professor in the University system, after 23 years cognate experience in the College. Engr. Dr. Ilori, who was employed as an Assistant Lecturer in August 2002, specializes in Mechanical Engineering, Crop Processing and Storage (Computer Modelling) field.
