Hon. Ramota Dr Chief Mrs Agberemi Dabo (JP), the Senior Assistant to the Governor on LG and Chieftaincy Matters, showcased excellent leadership on Wednesday, 9 April. Her mission was to place women on the edge of the next level through artificial intelligence and other modern applications, aligning with the goals of Oyo Women Digital Inclusion.

Working with global AI digital experts, the workshop featured practical sessions that trained participants on various systems and the profitable functions of each application.

This initiative is a crucial step towards enhancing the Oyo Women Digital Inclusion strategy, empowering women through technology.

Shaping the Future of Leadership

Hon. RAD, whose passion for positive change remains a driving force, advised all participants to dominate their areas of specialisation in the digital economy. Whether in business, career, or leadership, she urged them to develop their skills to flourish in times like these.

The programme, tagged “Oyo Women Digital Inclusion: AI Revolution Leadership Momentum,” was held at the Secretariat Training Hall, Agodi, Ibadan. It was designed specifically to shape the future of women in the professional world.

Guest speakers emphasised the need to generate content for business and impact. Key sessions covered business automation, productivity, time management, and leadership development. These were facilitated by Mrs Omowumi Helen Oduyemi, while Dr Adekunbi Omotosho, CEO and script technologist, provided technical insights.

Voices of Encouragement and Health

The event also focused on personal growth. Rev Mrs Olufunke Adetuberu, a renowned counsellor, shared her personal story of growing up to encourage victims of abuse. She told the crowd:

“Get healed! Do not give up.”

Princess Seyi Oyewale, a UK-trained nurse, spoke on maintaining a healthy life. She warned that there is no space for terminal disease caused by verbal or emotional abuse.

“PAIN kills,” she advised, urging women to take action as soon as their body reveals something is wrong so they do not “labour in vain.”

Support from the First Lady

Her Excellency Engr. Tamunominini Makinde FNSE was represented by the Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Olufunke Oni. She urged women to use the knowledge from this AI training to improve efficiency.

Mrs Oni noted that these AI tools proffer new streams of income, much like how network business owners engage customers with high-quality services. The training included practical sessions and a tea break to keep energy high.

A Celebration of Giving

True to the convener’s habit of giving, the event was a “fun galore.” The first 48 participants who met the registration timeline received special gifts. In a dance competition, the best six dancers won N10,000 each. There were also prizes for the ten best corporate-dressed attendees and gifts for babies.

The event was attended by top political office holders, including Hon. Comforter, various Women Leaders, and Members of the State House.
