Top political figures, senior government officials, and grassroots mobilisers are gathering in Ibadan for the Emerging Political Leaders Summit 2026 as stakeholders build momentum for an Oyo State political alliance in 2027. Scheduled for August 24–25, 2026, at the Ibadan Civic Centre, the strategic convergence aims to reconcile political factions, deepen inclusion, and unite political strength across party lines.

Key Speakers at the Emerging Political Leaders Summit

Leading figures across the nation are set to headline the two-day gathering. Dr Zacch Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), serves as Chief Facilitator. He will deliver a paper titled “Fiscal Renewal, Revenue Mobilisation, and the Economic Future of Oyo State in the Context of Nigeria’s Progressive National Agenda.” Organisers state his session will connect local governance directly to broader national economic reforms.

Mr Dayo Israel, National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will specifically address “Emerging Political Leaders and the Future of APC Grassroots Mobilisation in Oyo State.

The summit targets over 1,000 delegates. Attendees will include key figures from the APC, PDP, APM, independent political mobilisers, community organisers, civil society advocates, and media practitioners. The primary goal remains to broaden support for the ruling party while bolstering momentum for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Launch of the 50 Below 50 Project Òyó State Chapter

A defining highlight of the event will be the official launch of the 50 Below 50 Project Oyo State chapter. Alongside this launch, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the APC Oyo 2027 Governorship Candidate, will formally execute the Generational Inclusion Pact with emerging figures from across the state.

Organisers summarise the Emerging Political Leaders Summit as a necessary intervention to heal political fragmentation, restore the influence of grassroots stakeholders, and forge a progressive front for Oyo State.
