The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has fined Channels Television, AIT and Arise TV N3m each over their “unprofessional coverage” of the EndSARS protests and the crisis that followed it.
They were accused of playing a part in the escalation of the violence across Nigeria.
The NBC acting Director-General, Prof Armstrong Idachaba, announced that sanction at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
The media houses have been covering the #EndSARS protests and the subsequent civil disorders in states.
