The interim leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been told to, without any further delay, charge the embattled former Acting Secretary of the party, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe to court for forgery.

Rising from its emergency general meeting yesterday in Lagos, the group, National Coalition for Strategic Impact and Unity (NACOSIU), in a statement signed by Alhaji Abdulrahman Bello and Comrade Bassey Etim, National President and Secretary respectively, wandered why the former Acting Secretary of the party should not be having his days in court by now for committing such heinous crime against the president.

According to the statement,” we are still baffled that 72 hours after the case of forgery of President Muhamadu Buhari’s signature by Senator Udoedehe had been discovered, he is still walking freely on the streets of Abuja. It is a national and international embarrassment that the signature of the nation’s leader could be appended on a purported list of those whom the president has endorsed for party offices and there are no implications against such a despicable act by Udoedehe.”

“The interview granted the Channels TV by the governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el- Rufai, on the shenanigans which thrived inside the party under the watchful eyes of Udoedehe, left much to be desired. These men were not Caretakers they were to say the least, undertakers, who were all out to see to the eclipse of the party after 2023.

“We, therefore, call on the leadership of the party to without further delay charge Senator Udoedehe and his cohorts to court to answer charges of forgery done by them. the group stated.”
