Saturday, August 13, 2022, will continue to linger in the memory of Prince Amos Olugbenga Oyemade, the former Ambassador/Consulate General of Nigeria to Zimbabwe and Chad. His children, family, and friends organised a surprise birthday party for him.

The event began by bringing the celebrant to the venue, Emerald’s Place Event Centre, located on Ikotun Igando Road, off Isheri by College Bus Stop, Alimosho, Lagos State, with a surprise.

Pastor Segun Alimi delivered the opening prayer with praises and thanks to God for sparing the life of the celebrant, Ambassador Amos Olugbenga Oyemade.

After the prayer, the celebrant changed into a beautiful green-coloured agbada attire, with dignitaries from all walks of life present, amazed by the warm reception the children and family gave the celebrant.

Some of them could not hide their feelings as they prayed for Pa Oyemade and the organisers of the surprise birthday in their tributes.

The former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Lagos State, Dr. Olugbile, directed the cutting of the cake and toast.

On a red carpet interview with the wife, children, family and some dignitaries anchored by the Queen of the red carpet, Fola Slim of Apreel1 Events TV, the wife of the celebrant, Mama Oyemade, described her husband as a very loving and caring human being who does not toy with his family and prayed for God’s protection over him.

Mama Oyema also thanked the organisers for the beautiful reception they gave her husband.

His son, Dayo Oyemade, described him as a diplomatic, disciplined, and accommodating father, and he stressed further that if his father is not of good behaviour, there won’t be many people from home and abroad trooping in to celebrate his birthday.

“I wish him long life and prosperity,” Dayo said.

His daughter, Tobi Oyemade, also lauded her father as a good man and never regretted having been born to him. According to her, “My father is a good and wonderful man; he amazes me with his good character, and I wish him long life on the earth.”

From Alice Yetunde Oyemade, “Pa Amos Olugbenga Oyemade is of good behaviour, so nice and kind. Since I have been with him as my father-in-law, I have never for a day regretted knowing him. I wish him a long life to continue eating the fruits of his labour.”

Ambassador Kayode Ojo also described Pa Amos Oyemade as a good colleague who is always ready to offer help whenever people come across him, wishing him a long life.

The celebrant, Ambassador Amos Olugbenga Oyemade, in his response, could not hide his happiness at the surprise birthday organised for him by his children and family, thanking them all and praying for mercy on their journey to their various destinations.

Music was supplied by Soul’s Media and his Pleasant Rhythm band with MC @tujens anchoring the event. Also, DJ Tumis dished out music for dignitaries to enjoy while Akewi Akarigbo did what he knew best (ewi and Ijala) at the occasion.

The event was graced by dignitaries such as Ambassador Kayode Ojo, Ambassador Sekoni, Mrs Alice Yetunde Oyemade and her husband, Solomon Jolaoye Oyemade, the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr Olugbile, prominent members of society, friends, family, and numerous others.
