Ekiti Tourism Board Members Laud Governor Oyebanji, Pledge Unflinching Support

The newly appointed, part-time members of the Ekiti State Tourism Board have expressed profound appreciation to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for entrusting them with the opportunity to serve Ekiti State’s tourism sector.

During a formal visit to the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development at the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti, the Board members pledged their full dedication to advancing Ekiti State’s tourism.

‘”We are immensely grateful to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for deeming us worthy of this opportunity to serve.

“This appointment is more than an honor; it is a clarion call to duty. Though our roles are designated as part-time, our commitment to Ekiti’s tourism development will be full-time in every sense. We pledge to devote our time, energy, networks, and strength to advancing the state’s tourism sector.

“Our dedication is not motivated by personal gain but by a shared mission of the shared prosperity of Gov Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to add tangible value to Ekiti’s tourism landscape. We are committed to reinforcing the excellent work being implemented by Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre and his team, who are tirelessly promoting Governor Oyebanji’s vision for a thriving tourism sector in Ekiti State.

“Together, we aim to elevate Ekiti as a premier destination, rich in culture, heritage, and natural beauty.
The newly constituted Board, under the leadership of Hon. Oluyomi Bolarinwa includes High Chief Olajide Folusho Ogunniyi ( Eketa Igbole ) , Hon Olu Faboya , Hon Ojo Joseph , Hon Tajudeen Adeyemi , Hon Taiwo Esaya Oji , Hon Afolabi Olorunfemi ,( Asorogbayi) .
In a press release signed by all members, they committed to working energetically to bring transformative development to Ekiti’s tourism landscape. They acknowledged the Bureau of Tourism Development, led by Director-General Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, for its exceptional service and commitment to tourism growth, which they noted has already positively impacted the state’s visibility and economic potential.

Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre Esq., DG of the Bureau, welcomed the Board, emphasizing that it would serve not as a burden but as a “burden sharer,” collaborating on vital projects to expand the tourism sector. He urged Board members to “tie up their loins” and prepare for the task ahead, outlining the importance of concerted efforts to meet the Governor’s vision for a vibrant tourism sector.

In his response, the Board Chairman, Hon. Oluyomi Bolarinwa assured that all members are ready to work hand-in-hand with the Bureau to achieve impactful, sustainable progress for Ekiti tourism.
He reaffirmed their commitment to Governor Oyebanji’s administration and expressed optimism that, with focused leadership and unified support, Ekiti State will become a premier destination for tourism in Nigeria.

This positive start signals a strong collaborative effort between the Bureau and the Board, aimed at realizing Governor Oyebanji’s aspirations for a tourism-driven economic boost in Ekiti State. The Ekiti State Tourism Board and Bureau of Tourism Development remain dedicated to making Ekiti an exemplary model of sustainable tourism and cultural vibrant.
