Bolaji Tunji, media aide to the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has described as untrue reports of his death.
Unconfirmed reports and rumour of the death of Senator Abimobi, who was Tuesday appointed by the National Working Committee (NWC) as the acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) following Adams Oshiomhole’s suspension by the Appeal Court has continued to generate reactions on social media.
Recall that Senator Ajimobi emerged the party’s Deputy National Chairman in March and battled the virus for over two weeks.
The ex-Oyo State governor is believed to have succumbed to complications from the ravaging Coronavirus on Thursday.
Tunji, while debunking the reports of Senator Ajimobi’s death in a post on his social media handles, urged Nigerians to pray for the recovery of the APC chieftain who is battling with COVID-19.
