Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), will on Monday, 18th November, 2024, host a comprehensive Digital Literacy and Data Protection Training for 600 youth across his constituency.

The training, scheduled to take place at the Jogor Centre in Ibadan, is designed to equip young Nigerians with critical skills in digital technology and cybersecurity, which are increasingly necessary in today’s tech-driven world.

The training programme which is being organized in collaboration with the Federal College of Horticulture, Dadin Kowa, and supported by private sector partners, Salico-Prime Investment Limited and Manban Global Concept Nigeria Limited, is expected to have a transformative impact on the youth, helping them acquire digital literacy skills with emphasis of personal data protection in an era where online security is a growing concern.

In a statement made available to newsmen on the commencement of the training by Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha to the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan south-west federal constituency of Oyo State, at the National Assembly, the two term lawmaker explained that the initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to empower the youth in his constituency, ensuring they are well-equipped to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

This training is an opportunity for the youth in Ibadan North-West and Ibadan South-West federal constituency of Oyo state to enhance their digital skills and understand the fundamental principles of data protection,” Olajide said.
