The only solution to the socio-economic crisis and corruption in Nigeria is for Nigerians to go back to God with supplication and steadfastness. This was contained in the Eid-el-Kabir message signed by Alh. Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, the founder and spiritual head of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide.

According to him, “We now live a fake life, leaving aside the dignity of labour to enrich ourselves with blatant impunity corruptly:

The culture of integrity, good citizenry, education, moral discipline in the religious sector and ethical practices in leadership and governance are now replaced with corrupt practices because we fail to heed the voice of God in our chosen religion by playing lip service in worship, making us bereft of wisdom and the power of the discerning mind to proffer appropriate solutions to our emerging challenges.

Prof. Olagoke, however, condemned the frequent attacks by hoodlums who now kill and kidnap for ritual purposes or to demand a ransom before releasing their victims.

While congratulating Muslims, Prof. Olagoke, however, called on the Federal Government to stop paying lip service to security and other emergency issues that will negatively affect the masses
