Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde and the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, celebrated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Ige Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, as he marks his 90th birthday and first coronation anniversary.
Makinde, in a release by his Special Adviser (Media), Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, lauded the excellent royal leadership and direction, which Oba Olakulehin has been providing. He stated that the same is happening at a time his government is transforming Ibadan and building a modern Oyo State.
He said: “On behalf of the Government and the good People of Oyo State, I felicitate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
“Kabiyesi, we celebrate your royal leadership, which is happening at a time that we are transforming Ibadanland and building a modern Oyo State.
“We pray that God continues to uphold and sustain you as you continue to lead your people.

Meanwhile, Senator Alli who is also the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, in a statement he personally signed and made available to REPORTERS AT LARGE on Saturday in Ibadan, described the traditional ruler’s reign as peaceful, impactful and a great blessing to Ibadanland.
The lawmaker said Oba Olakunlehin’s ascension to the throne came at a time Ibadanland needed a wise, experienced, and fatherly figure to steer the traditional institution toward greater progress.
He commended the traditional ruler for his commitment to the preservation of Ibadan customs and values, as well as his support for development and harmony across the land.
Senator Alli prayed that Almighty God continue to bless the Olubadan with sound health, uncommon wisdom and many more years on the throne.
He wished him a joyous celebration of both his 90th birthday and coronation anniversary.
