THE efforts of the Communication Minister, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, to relate with former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Akala, on political and other related matters on Sunday failed, as the former governor did not attend to The Minister’s unexpected visit in his Opadoyin Ajala lodge in Ogbomoso.
The Minister, who was in Ogbomoso to further cement his political relationship with stakeholders in the region waited for about 30 miniutes at Akala’s house before he left, but promised to speak with the former governor on phone, later in the day.
An inside source informed our reporter that Otunba Akala was said to have been sleeping when the minister got to his residence with his entourage.
The two political rivals were said to have met at Methodists Church in the morning where they were both invited alonvside other personalities who were honoured by the church.
