The breakdown of the results as sighted by REPORTERS AT LARGE is; ENG – 69; MAT – 95; PHY – 95; CHE – 91, totalling 350 points. This is one of the best results in the 2024 UTME.

Abasimfon Taofiq has also reportedly won many competitions for his school, and we are sure that we are raising a scholar due to his academic performance that deserves scholarship and sponsorship.

Meanwhile, REPORTERS AT LARGE earlier reported that 30 student of a Catholic secondary school, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, located in Ilorin, were among the approximately 8,000 students nationwhide who scored between 300 and 355 in the 2024 UTME.

Netizens described this achievement as excellent, especially considering the Joint Admissions and  Matriculation Board (JAMB)’s recent announcement that 1,402,490 candidates out of 1,842,464 failed to score 200 out of 400 marks.

JAMB has also clarified that the UTME is primarily a ranking examination and has urged caution against fake result slips, as the official results are not printed on paper.

Recall that the board said they won’t announce the top scorer this year ‘to avoid a repeat of the ‘Mmesoma saga.’
