The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), South West Zone, has officially ushered in a new leadership era following the conclusion of its key regional polls. During the recent PMAN South West election, delegates gathered to select leadership that will steer the affairs of the union across the region.
Newly elected Chairman, Comrade Mutiu Ayeloja Manadex, leads the fresh executive team chosen by key union stakeholders from seven participating states.
Gathering at the NUJ Press Centre in Iyaganku, Ibadan, representatives from across the region cast their votes in a landmark session. The meeting drew high-level participation from state governors and secretaries representing the six South West states alongside Kwara State.
This strategic meeting set the tone for a united regional front aimed at addressing the evolving challenges facing performing artists in modern Nigeria.
Leadership Transition at the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria
The newly elected South West PMAN executives bring a wealth of industry experience to the regional council. The full leadership list features:
- Chairman: Comrade Mutiu Ayeloja (Manadex)
- Deputy Chairman: Comrade Taiwo Omotunde
- Secretary: Comrade Jide Murphy Abiade
- Financial Secretary: Comrade Prince Abiodun Adebayo Adegoroye (Abbey Simmo)

Reflecting on the peaceful transition, the outgoing Chairman, Dr. Ola Jombo, thanked the PMAN governors and secretaries for their support during his tenure and charged the new executive council to remain committed to their duties and work for the growth of the association.
Adding to the messages of gratitude, the outgoing Secretary, Baale Comrade Evangelist Remi Aderoju, appreciated members for their support during the outgoing administration. Their outgoing remarks highlighted the strong foundation laid for the incoming team to build upon.
Agenda for Mutiu Ayeloja Manadex and the Executive Council
Taking the helm of the organization, Comrade Mutiu Ayeloja expressed gratitude to the voting delegates for their trust. Speaking after his election, the new Chairman, Comrade Mutiu Ayeloja Manadex, thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work with the executive council to promote the growth of PMAN and the music industry.
The voting process saw broad representation from state leadership across the South West belt and neighboring Kwara. The seven state PMAN governors in attendance were Comrade Taiwo Omotunde of Oyo State, Comrade Jide Murphy Abiade of Ondo State, Comrade Prince Abiodun Adebayo Adegoroye (Abbey Simo) of Ogun State, Comrade Chief Adankanra Olalere of Ekiti State, Comrade Alhaji Adisa Owala of Kwara State, Comrade Alhaji Fatai Tijani of Lagos State and Comrade Sir Tayo Akinbade of Osun State.
Similarly, administrative support was well represented by regional secretaries. State PMAN secretaries in attendance included Comrade Psalmist Dr Adeolu Afolami of Oyo State, Comrade Tope Ogunjobi of Osun State, Comrade Ben Ikuejamofo of Ondo State, Comrade Christopher Aduroja of Ekiti State, Comrade Monsuru Ewetade of Lagos State, Comrade Ejire Adetoro of Kwara State and Comrade Olujimi Oyewusi of Ogun State.
