Adeaga who was represented by his wife, Mrs Oluyemisi Adeaga urged the state branch to reach out to previous awards to strengthen the association.

“They should also source for people that can support the association as there are many people that are in need.

“So that we can carry out the objectives and principle of the organisation,” Adeaga said.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman Planning Committee of the event, Pastor Isaac Oladele emphasised the need for the new executives to lead with compassion, empathy and fairness.

“True leaders inspire others through their conduct rather than their words alone,” Oladele said.

In his remarks, the newly inaugurated chairman, NRCS Oyo State Branch, Mr Babalola Famade said the state branch has been a family that thrive on the diversity of its members.

Famade, an engineer, however, called for support from well-meaning Nigerians to support the new administration’s initiatives.

“We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, individuals driven by a common purpose to make a difference.

“Whether you have skills in first aid, disaster response, community engagement or a fervent desire to contribute, there is a place for you in our Red Cross Family,” Famade said.

The event featured decoration of Vice patrons and Associate members of the association.

Other executive members inaugurated were Vice Chairman, Mr Matthew Ojuawo; Branch Secretary, Mr Olaleye Ojo; and Health and Care Adviser, Mr Bashir Bello, a former Oyo Commissioner of Health.

Others were Mrs Olajumoke Olubunmi, the Communication and Advocacy Adviser; Mrs Felicia Abolarin, the volunteer, youth, and Gender Adviser; and Mr Ademola Ademidun, the legal adviser.
