IT is impossible for Turkey to accept changes to its counter-terror law, which already meets European Union standards, EU Affairs Minister Volkan Bozkir said on Wednesday.
Speaking to broadcaster NTV, Bozkir also said that making changes to the counter-terror law is not an element of the planned visa-exemption deal with Europe.
The EU last week asked member states to grant visa-free travel to Turks in return for Ankara stopping migrants reaching Europe, but said Turkey still had to change some legislation, including bringing its terrorism laws in line with EU standards.
