GOVERNOR Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State will deliver a lecture at the 2018 edition of Ladoke Akintola Memorial Anniversary Lecture in Ibadan.

The lecture, scheduled to hold at the Parliamentary Building on 11th January is to commemorate the 52nd year anniversary of the death of the late Premier of Western Region

This was contained in a press statement, signed by  Ladoke Akintola Foundation Coordinator, Yemi Adedokun.

The release reads in part: “Governor Ambode will speak on ‘National Integration and National Development’ while  Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State; Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Governor Aminu Tambuwa of Sokoto State are the lead discussants.”

Adedokun also disclosed that Prof. O. B. C. Nwolise will speak on “Akintola and Self Government; while Barr. Adegboyega Awomalo will chair that occasion and Chief Richard Akinjide as the father of the day.

He said further that the reconstructed statue of the late sage Samuel Ladoke Akintola at the Parliamentray junction will be unveiled by the Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

Apart from states governors, other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion included traditional rulers, schorlars, doyen of industry, top government officials and students from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
