Kogi Declared As Pioneer State For National Egg Production

KOGI State has been chosen as the pioneer state for National Egg Production by the Federal Government.

Consequent upon this, the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbe, will be flagging off the programme on 23rd February, 2018.

In a statement signed and made available to ReportersAtLarge by the Senior Special Aasistant to the Governor Yahaya Bello on New Media, Odaudu Joel, “the Federal Government of Nigeria will be empowering 135 youths in Kogi State with investiture fund of N4.2m each to support their poultry businesses in order to encourage fresh entrants into poultry agro chain.

“Each of the beneficiaries are expected to own a poultry pen.”

The statement also reads: “His Excellency has approved five beneficiaries from each of the 21 Local Government Areas in the State.”
