THE race for Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa federal legislative seat assumed an interesting turn as youths from the constituency endorsed Posi Adiatu to represent the zone next year.

Adiatu, a Programme Manager at an Osun State agency, is fielded by the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the 2019 House of Representative poll.

According to the youths, the choice of Adiatu was the best for the zone after a deluge of uninspiring representation in the past, noting that he (Adiatu) combines education with international exposure to render desired representation.

The youths who identified qualitative representation as a challenge that had bedeviled Iwo federal constituency for so long, expressed their delights that someone with Adiatu’s calibre has offered himself to represent the constituency.

“If there is anything that we have issue getting right over the years, it is no other but our representation. Both at the state and federal level, our representations have not been that inspiring.

“But it gladdens our hearts that you (Adiatu) eventually heeded the call of the people and accepted to represent our constituency at House of Representatives in 2019. You are our (youth) candidate and we will support you all through,” Babatude Kunle spoke on behalf of Iwo youth renaissance group at a meeting to endorse Adiatu

In their own show of acceptance, a youth group based in Bode, Ola-Oluwa local government, ‘The future leaders’, embraced the candidature of Adiatu as the remedy to poor voice of the constituency at the national level, vowing to mobilise their structures across the zone and rally funding to prosecute his election.

They noted that Adiatu as a civil servant who have proven himself over the years, remains the best person to represent the constituency, hinting that it would soon begin a mass enlightenment of electorate to send him to the green chamber in 2019.
