Community Development: Fulani Community, Others Commend Senator Buhari

RESIDENTS of Gaa Olosun a Fulani Community in Olorunsogo Local Government, Igbeti and other communities in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State have commended Senator Abdulfatai Buhari for alleviating their sufferings on water scarcity with a donation of boreholes to their communities.

Senator Buhari, an APC Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of National Assembly facilitated 13, 4 Units Solar boreholes for communities in the constituency.

Alhaji Musa Ciroma, leader of Fulani Community in Igbeti said the gesture is one of the greatest gifts they ever received since the village was established over twenty years ago.

According to him ” our major problem here is water, we travel as far as 3kilomtres to fetch water and at times, we travel to other communities to get water, today we are grateful that our major problem has been solved”

Also at Ayegbami Area Modeke in Igboho, Oorelope local government area of the state, residents commended the senator for facilitating the borehole to their community.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr Alowo Olatubosun, Vice Chairman, Oorelope Local Government said the people will be relieved of water scarcity which is one of their major challenges in the area.

He described Senator Buhari as a responsible lawmaker who is passionate about the development of his constituency and Oyo State at large.

According to him ” This is the first time we will be having a senator that consider the plight of the people, he has a listening hear and he is always responsive to the yearnings of his constituents.

He, however, called on people to support his second term ambition by voting for him and other APC candidates during the forthcoming election

In his remark, Senator Buhari said, the gesture is part of his electioneering campaign promises for the people and to relieve communities of water supply.
He promised to do more for people if elected for another term.

The Senator also commission boreholes at Agbonle in Saki East and Irawo in Atisbo Local Government.
