No fewer than 200 people were empowered by Ara Foundation in the ancient city of Ibadan on Saturday.

A philanthropist and founder of Ara Foundation, Alhaji Ademola Oyepeju while speaking to journalists at the official launching of the foundation, presentation of empowerment items to over 200 people as well as the celebration of his birthday enjoined government at all levels to increase budgetary allocation and initiate policies that will enhance the advancement of youths in the country.

This according to him would not only reduce unemployment but also take many talented youths who have turned into hoodlums because of lack of jobs off the street.

Alhaji Oyepeju noted that “If youths are engaged and gainfully employed there won’t be a need to be afraid of insecurity and attack on public facilities as it happens during the just concluded #EndSARS protest in many states across the federation.

His words: “The government should not only release fund, but they should also monitor the allocation and usage as well as introduce guidance and counselling centres in strategic locations, empower agencies like National Orientation Agencies and others to orientate people and do a periodical check on the beneficiaries.”

The chairman of the occasion, Prince Abass Aleshinloye in his remark said Nigerians should not abandon politics in the hands of few people adding that they should be involved for positive advancement and progress.

He also commended Alhaji Oyepeju for his genuine passion for giving to people while also urging people to emulate him for a better society.
