Kidnappers have abducted four more persons in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) following an attack in Tungan Maje town in Gwagwalada.

TheCable reports an eyewitness as saying that the kidnappers operated for three hours, from 12am to 3am on Sunday.

Among those abducted was Abdulahi Idris Rakieu, a retired assistant comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) taken alongside two members of his family.

Also kidnapped in the midnight attack was one Olusola Agun.

The attackers were said to have been dressed in military uniform and broke into the two houses through the fence and window.

Meanwhile, the Punch Newspapers reporter, Okechukwu Nnodim, abducted on February 3 with two other persons at their houses in Kubwa, Abuja has been released.

Nnodim’s wife, Mrs Oluchi Nnodim, confirmed the release of the journalist on Sunday, saying that her husband was released at midnight on Saturday.
