A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao has visited Akala’s Opadoyin Villa in Ogbomoso, to commiserate with the family of the late former governor, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Hakeem Alao who was received by the eldest son of the former governor, former First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs) ‘Kemi Alao-Akala and other family members, described Akala as a different breed whose death is a personal loss to him, the people of Ogbomoso land and Oyo State in general.
The Oman-based Project and Contract Management Specialist recalled how he met the former governor in 2018 and how their relationship grew stronger since then.
“When I recall how I got to know Governor Akala in 2018 during my 2019 Gubernatorial Campaign in the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and how we have grown in father and son relationship since then, I can’t but appreciate God for a life well spent by him. Otunba Akala was a man you can’t regret knowing. I pray the Lord Almighty to continue to bless his soul and protect the family”, he said.
While appreciating Engr. Alao for commiserating with the family, Chief (Mrs) ‘Kemi Alao-Akala, said the former governor lived a fulfilled life, stating that the visit of people across the country is a testimony of his generosity and large heart.
Hakeem Alao was accompanied during the visit by leaders and stakeholders of APC in the five local government areas in Ogbomoso land.
