A frontline gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao has vowed to work for the success of the party at all levels during the 2023 elections.
This is just as he, alongside his coordinators in the 33 local government areas of the state, expressed their determination to work with other stakeholders and party members to make the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a history not only in Oyo State but all over the country.
Alao, while speaking at the meeting held with the coordinators at his campaign office in Ibadan, he said the time has come to put the gubernatorial primary behind them and work for the electoral victory of APC, charging the coordinators and his other followers in the state to come together and see the party as their own to work for its success.
The Oman-based project and contract management specialist, who restated his commitment to stay in the APC as a progressive, said electoral victory for the party at all levels would be a victory for the teeming members of the party.
According to Engr. Alao, “I am delighted with our deliberations today, most especially for the resolve to stay in the APC and work for its success in the coming general elections.” I cannot thank you enough for your support and for standing by us. We must put the past behind us and see the success of the party as the next assignment for us.
“I have resolved within me to do all that is possible to work with you and other leaders, stakeholders and teeming members of the APC to send the PDP packing not only in our dear state but all over the country. To let PDP become history must be our watchword.”
Various speakers at the meeting, which lasted for three hours, expressed their commitment to continue to support Alao in his political career, maintaining that he has become a symbol that cannot be pushed away or jettisoned in the political calculation of Oyo State.
