The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.
Oluomo was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, in the early hours of Thursday.
The speaker was reportedly arrested over allegations bordering on financial crimes.
Newsmen reported that EFCC operatives picked up the speaker this morning at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, following a tip-off.
The reports said Oluomo was undergoing further grilling in the agency’s custody.
He was said to have been on the commission’s wanted list following his failure to honour the EFCC invitation several times.
He and some others were accused of forging signatures and financial documents of the assembly.
