Ibadan Explosion: O’First Group Commiserates Oyo Govt, Victims

Ogbomoso First Community Initiatives, O’First Group, a social-cultural group of Ogbomoso indigenes, has communicated with the Oyo State Government and victims of the explosion that rocked Ibadan on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

The unfortunate explosion claimed two lives, injured over 80 people, and damaged properties and valuables in the affected area.

In a statement signed by the President, Sir Olusegun Adekunle, OON described the incident as devastating and unfortunate, especially given the country’s ongoing economic challenges.

As concerned Indigenes of the state, we sympathise with the victims and their families and pray that God will restore their losses and grant them a quick recovery.

The Group also commended Governor Seyi Makinde, his cabinet members and other frontline workers, including security agencies and health workers, for their swift response to the unexpected disaster.
